CC Radio plus - A Solid Performer
Chances are that if you listen to the radio, you've heard the ads for the C. Crane CC Radio plus. The ad campaign targets the talk-radio market with emphasis on exceptional AM reception, and a speaker designed for "superior reproduction of the human voice".
I purchased this radio because...

What a disgusting product
I bought this overpriced POS for a Christmas present for a dear friend and because they were really embarressed about this lousy radio, they never told me how terrible it was.
I found out a few summers ago that they quit trying to figure out how to use by mid-January - just 3 weeks...

Not worth the money and poor company support
I ordered the Sangean-made CCRadio several years ago...it is essentially the same radio sold today by C Crane Company. This radio had to come across the border to my Canadian address so by the time I had paid shipping, duty and taxes, the final cost was $280 CAN. (about $195 US) And if the radio... Read full review »

The AM reception isn't as good as radios costing 1/3 the price. The display stopped working a couple of months after I turned it on. I had to send it back to C... Read full review »
No risk to try it out...
I bought one of these a while back. 2004 I think. Kept it 2 days.
Understand I have considerable radio experience so I was expecting a truly outstanding piece of equipment for the price. Great sensitivity, selectivity, tone quality, etc. My primary usage is not for DX work but for a...

CC Radio not the best radio ever made.
I have owned this radio for a couple of months now and I must say that I'm been sorely disappointed. My major gripe concerns the preset buttons on top of the radio. The buttons are not very sensitive at all. I find myself slapping at the buttons when I want to change stations because if you simply... Read full review »
