What a disgusting product

Avoid this company. Check out the inexpensive radios that Radio Shack carries.
I bought this overpriced POS for a Christmas present for a dear friend and because they were really embarressed about this lousy radio, they never told me how terrible it was.
I found out a few summers ago that they quit trying to figure out how to use by mid-January - just 3 weeks after they received it. I didn't learn about this for years afterwards as they were really embarressed that they couldn't figure out the radio and couldn't understand what all the 'buzz' was about as it didn't work well at all.
So one afternoon I spent like 5 hours learning how to program this miserable POS and finally got some semblance of the buttons starting to work --- when we had a thunder storm, the power went out, and my FIVE HOURS of trying to set up this POS for my friend went down the drain.
All the afternoon's work was erased, I was so frustrated and so angry, and I realized that I'd never call this company to complain, as it was impossible that we were the only people experiencing difficulty using this VERY inferior product.
Obviously I will never purchase anything from this company ever again, for any reason; and furthermore, I will never respond to any advertiser on the overnight talk show that I heard all the buzz about this TERRIBLE item.
I can't decide whether to throw this $165 mistake out in the trash, or to donate it to charity --- I sure hate the idea of passing on such a problem riddled POS to anybody else.
I bought a "replacement" Christmas gift of a standard Radio Shack radio for a mere 29 dollars and it worked like a charm, unlike this ridiculous $165 monstrousity.
