I just got my 88CD shipped back to cambridge soundwork for a repair (bought in June from buy.com this year). It sounds funny for a CD failure happening just 3 months after a brand new purchase, it is reality though.
I only occasionally plays some classic CD's with it, not much radio. At the end of this August, it failed in loading a new CD and then does not recognize any CD inserted. Called the technical service at Cambridge Soundwork and obtained a repair authorization number. Shipped at my own expense, which is about the 10% of the purchase price.
I feel so dissapointed for this stupid purchase, you bet I buy it again. How come a $200 level small CD player be so lousy? To tell the truth, Bose is on top of my purchase list for the coming holiday season.
