Pros Excellent image compared to non IS technology. Average compared to other IS manufacturers.
Cons Poor customer service. Expensive.

Pros Excellent image quality, bright, steady.
Cons Pricey. Also, they become rather heavy when using them for extended periods of time.

I purchased a pair of Canon IS 18x50's for use aboard my sailboat. I've been very pleased with their performance. I now have the ability to pick up details on buoys from almost a mile away - a great help when entering a new harbor. You'll still want your old 7x50's for wide-area viewing, but will...
