The Bottom Line:
I recommend this binocular to anyone because of (image stabilizer, good optics and good quality).
I have had my Canon 18x50 binocular for almost two years now and i'm enjoying every moment of it. The quality of this binocular is top notch. The image stabilizer is just awesome, it makes a total difference when activated. The optics on this binocular are also nice, clear and crisp. After experiencing with this high power binocular, I just can't see how ones would be able to use one without the image stabilizer. I'm not saying that it's not possible but it would be useless unless you have a tri-pod(but who would want to carry a tri-pod around all the time). A binocular should be handy and usable at anytime right! The binocular does however operate on two AA batteries which it will chew them up pretty fast unless you use lithium batteries. The game here is to get a rechargeable 2100 MAH batteries kit and you'll be all set. These batteries will last like hour compare to 20-30 mins for regular alkaline batteries. The weight of this binocular is quite heavy compare to other but for its size it's average. You just have to get use to it than you'll be OK. The field of view does however seem small because of it's high power. I would suggest a smaller power if you're more into a wider field of view (depend on what job you're using it for). As for me, the 18x50 power is just what I needed. In my opinion this binocular is worth the money.
