Good For:
Home
No one can really complain about a free printer, so I won't either. I got my Canon MP620 free with the purchase of my laptop. It's for home use, and I use it frequently since I am a writer and professor. I often need to scan images, copy handouts, and print my articles. This printer allows easy conversion of file types, the set up was a breeze (for Mac), and the usability is simple as well.
This machine prints, copies, and scans. The downside (I know I said I wouldn't complain) is that it shakes (it might be because of the shelf on which I have it), prints loudly, feeds loudly, and runs through ink. And to end my complaining session, the ink is expensive. I've definitely paid for the printer at least twice over in refilling the ink two times. The most irritating part is that there are 2 black compartments and even if one is still full and the other runs out, it won't access the back up ink.
Overall: B-. Easy, cheap, but runs through ink and won't use back-up reservoir.
