Canon PowerShot A1000 IS Digital Camera

The day I bought this little gem I was going to purchase the Canon A590, which was on a clearance and the store ran out of them. I then looked the A-1000 IS over and the more I looked the more I  liked, so I got it. This camera has alot of features for the price, including an "easy" setting for people who aren't very familiar with digital photography or don't want to have to make alot of setting adjustments. I liked the size, not too big, not too small. It also has image stabilizer. I found the quality of the pics to be excellent. I also was familiar with the Zoombroswer interface with the computer from owning another Canon, and while there have been a few changes overall, its essentially similiar to the earlier versions, which I liked. Very impressive camera all the way around. This camera runs on 2 AA batteries, which is down from the 4 I was used to with my older Canon. THis could maybe bother someone a bit who took alot of pictures as you may have to replace the batteries a bit more often, but for now I am fine with it. Has a large lcd screen. I am convinced that for the price you pay for this camera you simply can't beat it.
