It takes very good pictures for this low priced camera. Its menus are easily mastered.
Cons
The review screen washes out, Slow flash recharge, has an appetite for batteries.

It does take a very good picture for this quality and low priced camera. Its menus are easily mastered.
I found it odd sized for the shirt pocket, but for Canon to use this plastic for the body seems to degrade their fine name. The review screen washes out in day light, but takes the picture that you see, unlike the view finder that seems offset to the Left. Slow flash recharge, during which the screen goes blank, and storing a picture is terribly slow when batteries are half gone without warning. If your going to a garden party for the day, take a pocket full of batteries, it's heavy on the juice. It used two alkaline AA batteries for 31 pictures at full res. Canon claims 190 at basic and 80 at full size, plus downloaded. I am told that the new Lithium rechargeable AA's will average 300 pictures.
