I bought this camera several years ago, and it still works great. It has been a pretty good camera: easy to use, great zoom, compact, and pretty good video (in good light). Unfortunatly, even though they advertist the "Great x1000 digital zoom" digital zoom is nothing that you cannot just do on your computer, and it decreases the video quality. In other words, digital zoom is practicaly worthless. The sound quality also is not great. There is a lot of noise in the audio. The camera is Horrible in low-light, and the 1mp pictures that it can take in card mode are practically useless because of their terrible quality. All-together I would say that if you are looking for a camera that is easy to use and good for just everyday shooting, then this would be a good buy. But If you are serious about your video-taping, step up to the next level of camcorder and you won't regret it.
