A cheap, but great lens

For the price, around 25 dollars the only lens that's better is the 50mm 1.8. This lens is very inexpensive and the build shows. All of this being true, the optics are amazing! Along with the aid of some beautiful subjects I took great pictures! It is on the slow side for low light applications, but I'd suggest using this for more of a portrait lens, where you can focus manually if needed.
Specifications for this lens doesn't state it has Full Time Manual Focusing but you can manual turn the lens while in Auto Focus. It does sound like you're tearing the gears, but I've done it for years, unlike the 28-90mm. You can't move the barrel at all! It does have considerable upgrades. Many of us can only dream of the L series or the mid priced lens. For the rest of us there's a great lens like this one!
