The Bottom Line:
Great for travelers spending long hours in the airport these days.
Literally smaller than my hand, the Casio TV-880 is lightweight, portable, yet easy to control. Channel selection is performed with a digital slide and tuning is automatic. The color LCD screen is vibrant and true. The sound is crisp, but placement of the speaker at the top of the unit pushes the sound away from you especially in large open areas. Using an ear plug is highly recommended when in open areas with others due to this as the sound jumps away from you toward the room. Reception is strong, but the antenna is a bit long at about two feet. If they found a flexible antenna system and could place the speaker on the front panel, this baby would be perfect. All-in-all, the TV-880 is a great buy at $90 and as one who has found out the hard way, it is durable. Just remember where you leave it, this unit is small enough to hide on you.
