One Of The Best Radar Detectors Ever

The Bottom Line:
One of the best radar detectors I have ever had the pleasure to use.
I bought my ESD-6200 back in 1999 on eBay from an electronics store going out of business. This radar detector has never let me down. One of the first times I remember a cop hitting me with his radar was when I was on the interstate. It started going off but I saw no cars anywhere. I drove a little further and I saw a car about 3 miles headed towards me in the other lane. The signal grew stronger and stronger. It was an undercover cop. 3 miles is more than enough time to slow down.
Recently, the plug in on the radar detector has become dirty from unplugging the radar detector when not in use. I currently know of no way to clean it. I bought a new Cobra ESD-9210 last night at Best Buy. I hope it performs every bit as well if not better than the ESD-6200. Never unplug your radar detector's power cord. That way the connector will stay nice and clean for many years to come. I still plan to use the ESD-6200 when I drive someone else's car, but I wish I knew how to clean the connector.
