Cobra Electronics ESD 6700 Radar Detector

I purchased this radar detector about 2 months ago, and I have loved it so far. I was in Sear's shopping around in the electronics, and a cheaper Cobra model caught my eye. Luckily I talked to the salesman and got set up with a much better model. This model was regularly priced at $199.99, but was on sale for $79.99. So, for the price of a lower end radar detector, I ended up with a whole lot more. This model has tons of features, one of them being the "speech" feature. It is a lot less annoying than I first thought it would be, and it is really pretty helpful. For example, when you are switching between city and highway functions, it tells you what you have selected. This is really helpful because obviously when you're driving it isn't a good idea to focus your attention off of the road. This radar detects all four speed monitoring systems, X band, K band, superwide Ka, and Laser. It also has the VG-2 cloaking feature which means if the cops are scanning for people using radar detectors, the machine will automatically shut off. It has 360 degree protection and three different brightness modes. It also detects emergency vehicles, and trains which is a big time saver. It comes with the window mounting bracket, and some velcro for mounting it directly to your dash. I would recommend this product to anyone in the market, it has tons of features and I don't have any complaints about it thus far.
