Can It Save You???

Is cheapness a Pro?
Cons
It's bulky and the display can be hard to see at times.
Recommended it?
Yes
The Bottom Line:
Good radar if your looking for something that will beep for a few seconds if something is up ahead.
My parents bought this product for me once I got my new car (check other opinions). They wanted me to be "protected" from police because they knew that new drivers tend to have the urge for speed. I had no problem with using a radar and would use whenever I drove.
The first problem that I found with this item was that on sunny days it's virtually impossible to view the display. The thing would also pick up anything that flashed lights, such as a disabled vehicle, construction trucks, ambulances. While it did once save me from getting a ticket, I have to complain about its scanning range (which is like 20 feet infront of your car). It's too short; by the time you see the cop, he's been locked onto you for 10 minutes prior.
One unique feature that it does have is the different alert tones that the radar has. For each different type of radar device, there is a different tone. After awhile these tones got to be extremely annoying and I stopped using the device and until this day (7 months since I got it) it still sits in my glove box, waiting to be used.
