Cobra Electronics ESD 9100 Radar Detector

Tried the Cobra 9100 for about two weeks. The audio at it's highest setting can barely be heard over moderate volume settings on the radio and is completely washed out with the windows open at highway speeds. The default setting is for the audio to be turned down after the initial warning. Since the unit does not have setting memory it makes the problem worse because you need to reset each time you power it up. The unit is reasonably good at rejecting false alarms but this positive feature is at the expense of having marginal sensitivity. You need to react immediately to the first signal.
I returned the unit for refund after 2 weeks.
