Cobra Electronics ESD 9550 Radar Detector

I bought this Radar Detector after reading the ad in my car and driver. It looked like something that might compliment my Corvette's dash. I was correct. The features I like best on this Radar Detector are the Auto Mute and Emergency warning. It will inform you if you are coming upon road construction, a train, or an Ambulance or Fire Truck. It also has a built in compass which apparently works well because it always right on with the one in the mirror of my car. Of course you are probably wanting to know how the device does at scoping out the bad guy. I have heard this thing tell me there is a fun robbing bastard close and haven't seen him for a 1/2 mile. Compared to my old BEL, that is great. My BEL used to tell me when I was being ticketed. Now one needs to remember, if you are the only one on the Highway and this goes off, pull over cause you are nailed. But if there is several cars in front of or behind you, the radar will hit them and you will know to slow down. This is a great detector I hope you enjoy it as much as me.
