Very Good Overall but could have included a charger
Very good radio that should provided years of satisfactory service. I bought these units about 18 months ago and have given them light use. Like all others, don't believe the distance claim. Have owned the radios for almost 3 yrs. I like that it does not use AAA batteries but 6 AA sized batteries. Are more practical for long life in high power transmission. Don't pay more than $40 for this.
The Cobra PR-1000 UHF /FM radios are nice if you need inter-operability with FRS, but the lack of rechargeable battery support makes them expensive to operate for longer trips or outings, where the radio is on for eight to ten hours a day.

Pros:
The range and audio quality are good. Probably better than most of the smaller radios.
Removable antenna may allow you to use better antenna for even more range.
