Coby CX-7 AM/FM Radio

I purchased the COBY CX-7 for $4.99 which is on sale at FYE in NYC and it is a REAL PIECE OF JUNK!!!! First of all the tuner is not FM Stereo as all current FM Walkman type radios are today,(but it uses stereo headphones) it is arcahaic FM MONO...sort of like it was in 1969 but that is not the worst problem with this radio. The tuning knob which is on top, is very hard to adjust to your favorite station and the adjacent channel bleedover is simply AWFUL and the stations do drift quite often. The sensitivity of the tuner is quite poor and the sound quality borders in between poor and a little bit better than fair and it also features a DBBS (Dynamic Bass Boost Systen) which is supposed to improve the lower Bass response but in this case, it makes the sound a little bit hollow sounding . This is a nice looking lttle radio but that's the only good quality about the COBY CX-7. The COBY CX-7 comes in many colors Black, Silver, Green, Clear, Translucent Blue and which is the one i purchased was Red. I will try to return this to FYE for a refund or credit, this is a total waste of my $4.99 plus tax.
