This Radio can't be beat for the price and quality. Everyone should have at least one in the house!!
I just purchased the Coby CX-CB12 for 8 bucks at
Big Lots. I used to have a short wave radio ages ago
and have wanted to get another one. However price
seemed to be a deterrent.
I was really surprised at how well this radio works.
I went to radio shack after I bought it and they had a
similar model for $60.
I highly recommend this radio for everyone. You can
listen to the world for a very inexpensive price and
the value is definitely there. Another benefit is that
the radio also has am/fm too. Last night I was listening
to the am band and was picking up stations that my other
radio couldn't receive. For those who are looking at
a CCRadio receive ability for a cheap price, look
no further than this radio. Use headphones for a better
sound.
Also that short wave radio waves are better heard at night
than during the day. So don't be disappointed if you
don't hear alot during the day.
I can't wait till I hook up the headphone jack to my
computer speakers. I also have a patch cord which
can connect it to my stereo system.
Great value that can't be beat. These short wave radios
are all made it seems in China. Probably the same
factory.
