You won't believe it.

Pros Cheap! Sensitive enough on MW and SW, and excellent audio for its class.
Cons Not-so-hot construction, band switcher is plenty awkward, analog tuner
Recommended it? Yes
The Bottom Line:  really cheap, clear audio, can be repeatedly dropped, easy on batteries, gets the entire shortwave spectrum, what more do you want?
The only reason I bought this radio was because I wanted something to carry, say to the lake or something and could afford to lose. Imagine my surprise when I discovered the excellent human-voice audio, and impressive-for-its-class sensitivity.

The band switcher at the bottom of the set is difficult to control and this unit will not impress your friends, but wait until you hear it. It is easy to assume that the fidelity is a happy accident based on the use of the cheapest speaker possible which simply cannot handle the especially high and low frequencies of interference. Do you really care? It's swell.

It even has a little panel in the back which allows the set to sit up at a 45-degree angle. If you can find one of these pick it up.

I am still running on my first set of batteries and have easily played the radio for 250 hours. I get the feeling we may be hearing big things from these Coby folks. I found my CX CB12 at a Big Lots in another town for about eight bucks. I wish I bought a few more to hand out to my radio-geek buddies.

Art Bell may rave about the CC Radio, but for my money this little unit the one.
