Coby DVD-224 DVD Player

I would not recommend spending the money on this product.  Save up and get something a little bit nicer and you will be happy that you decided to do it.  This player always seems to skip on every dvd, even new ones.  I do not recommend this product. I would definitely recommend sticking to an LG or a SONY or maybe even SAMSUNG, but the COBY brand player just does not seem to be able to keep up with the competition.
When I first set it up, I went to watch a movie that we bought so that we could have a nice family night.  That was not possible.  Unfortunately the dvd skipped the entire time and we had to resort to watching tv instead.  I tried to call COBY to ask about this problem and they said that they did realize it was a common problem with this model but there is no fix for it and they were not able to refund my money in any way. 
I have since thrown this player away and bought a new one.  Hopefully any of you out there who do have this player have had better luck than me with it. I will not be buying this as a gift this year!
