Well, plays dvds...But you can find BETTER players that's for sure!

"A" for innovation, "D" for Quality
I originally bought this DVD Player because of it's cost and features. Let's face it, you will be hard pressed to find the features of this player in anything that is close to the cost ($40USD). Unfortunately as with the cheap price-tag, comes cheap quality.

Arg... Frustrating player
I purchased this as a secondary player after having owned a fairly reliable Coby-224. I needed something small and compact. I would still have the Coby-224, but I donated it when I moved out of state over the summer.
So, I buy the 237, expecting it to be of the same half way decent...

Returned within the month..
It wasn't because I grew tired of it, it just quite working properly. It wouldn't read any discs and kept giving 'No Disc' errors left and right after having this DVD player for 2 weeks or so. Money well spent BUT short life..
I purchased the Coby DVD-237 player in 2004 as a Christmas gift for my kids. I chose this player because of its compact size and price. Walking through the grocery store of all places i happen to spot this big section of coby dvd players out the corner of my eye and when I seen the price of $20.00 USD I thought what a piece of crap, there's no way anyone could manufacture a DVD player and sell it for 20.00.
