The Bottom Line:
It would have been better if it wasn't so cheaply made!
I received this CD player as a gift about a year ago. It was my first MP3 CD player. I liked its capabilities. The player plays MP3 CDs and regular music CDs and supports CD-R and CD-RW media. It came with headphones and an AC adaptor. The AC adaptor even had the capability of recharging NiCad and NiMH batteries! It will show the ID3 tags and filenames on its 2-line screen. There is even a file searching function.
Sounds great so far? It would be great if it wasn't for the fact that the player is such poor quality! First of all, I have always had to push pretty hard on the play/on button for it to work, and sometimes I have to press it more than once! Next, two of the buttons on the player recently came loose. Sometimes they will fall out. Don't forget that this player sucks up batteries fast, especially when playing MP3 CDs (which would probably be expected for MP3 CDs to go through batteries faster.) If, for some reason, you want to get this CD player, you should take advantage of its NiMH/NiCad-recharging capability! Also, during the 90-day warranty that this CD player has, Coby wants you to include $6 along with the broken product for return shipping! Is this a company that stands behind their products?
I do not recommend that you buy this CD player. If it would have been of better quality, I would recommend it. But it is hard for me to recommend this very much due to it being of low quality.
