After reading a couple of reviews about these speakers, I saw many said it distorted when in high volumes. I was a bit sceptical of getting the FPS1000 system, but then I just went to the shop and got it.
I wanted some kickass gaming/mp3-sound with my Duron 600/Geforce-system.
Oh my god, very good installation of the speakers/drivers for the soundcard (I bought the version where the SB Live soundcard is included).
However, I listened to some MP3's, and they were a bit distorted/bad-bass, but after some mixing in WinAmp, I got a very nice mp3-sound. However, skip the music, now to the main point with these speakers: gaming.
I started a Q3 game, and oh my god, I couldnt ignore to take a scared look back of my shoulders!
The satelites does a very nice surround-feeling in the game, and you really feel yourself into the game.
The bass is great, and a very low distortion in high volumes of MP3, these are the best speakers you can get for aroun 80-100 $.
