If you want a great sound card with 5.1 Dolby Digital and all the options you could shake a stick at, Here it is...
I've always had a SBLive! since they were released... The Audigy Mp3 left something to be desired though.. the software package was lacking anthing that really made you go WOW and then when i couldn't plug it in via-optical output to my new Pioneer VSX 811S, i was sad.... But the sound quality is still screaming and the system performance is most notable in softwazre like fruityloops, ACID and soundforge.. I have yet to use the MIDI but i'm getting ready to.. hopefully everything in that deparment is as easy as it was before.. for an excellent 5.1 sound card, check this one out... i got mine for a steal @ $57. I got it for my Wife's computer, I'm still holding out for my Audigy 2 Platinum.
