Awesome little MP3/WMA player
Pros
Great sound, very portable, easy to use, nice readout.
Cons
Haven't found any yet. Maybe you want 1 gb version (read review)
Recommended it?
Yes
The Bottom Line:
Get this player even if you own a hard disc player.
I am listening to the Nano as I write this and it just plain sounds fantastic. I have the equalizer on rock and am listening to Brownstone and the bass is there alright. Only thing missing is the thumping on my chest. I bought this because someone gave me a 64mb player for my birthday and I found that just wasn't enough room. Well I put all the MP3 I had on this and couldn't fill it so I went and purchased some more and ripped some of my cds and it still isn't full. Wait Kokomo is playing and I feel like I am in the tropics, never knew something so small could possibly sound so good. I ordered some EC2s but they haven't arrived yet. I can't wait to hear how this will sound with those babys. Oh and it so easy to use that I loaded it up right away when I got without reading the directions so I could show it to my friend I was going to see. Playing it was pretty easy to figure out, too. Even if you have a hard disc player, you may want this for running around when you would like something more portable and don't want to worry about skipping.
Update: I received the EC2s and they work perfectly with this unit. I take the subway to work and no longer have the music drowned out by the subway noise (but thats another review :)) Some have asked for a more technical review but thought this was a users opinion and followed the guidelines here thinking that all the technical info was available at Creatives's own website. All I can say is that I have had this unit for a while now and still feel the same about it. I have found very little negative to report except that you may want the 1 gb version. My rationale for this unit is that if you go for that much storage, you might as well get a hard disc player as this unit is not designed to store your whole music selection but if you are using it for working out or commuting like I am, I find that the storage is enough so I am not hearing the same music twice in a day and no need to worry about skipping.
