The Zen Vision:M, in my opinion, is a much better MP3 player, video player and image viewer than the iPod, yet underrated. The Vision:M displays a whopping 262,000 colors compared to the iPod's 65,000. Video and photos pop off the screen. It supports a much wider variety of video formats than the iPod: DivX, MPEG-2, MPEG-4, WMV, and XviD among them. Also very importantly does not require an iTunes like program to load and unload your music, videos or photos. Hands down it easily surpasses the iPod in every way.
