Inexpensive Crisp, clear mids and highs Decent lows
Cons
No separate volume controls for sub

Yes
I bought these speakers because I was sick of having an ancient Hitachi receiver and bookshelf speakers on top of my computer cabinet. I couldn't afford to spend a lot of money, so I went with this modestly priced set. I turned them on and cranked up some music and was very happy with the quality of sound. It is far superior to my Hitachi, that's for sure. The satellite speakers sound crisp and clear and the tiny sub does a pretty sweet job of bringing out the low end of things.
The only drawback, and it's a small one, is that there is no independent volume controls for the sub. No big deal, though. If you want it to sit quieter in the overall mix, just EQ it in software--pretty much any media player will have an EQ.
Overall, a great buy.
