Any price is not worth for this cd player. The lack of features, compability issues, and poor battery life make this a terrible mp3 cd player.
Hi,
I bought one of these mp3 cd player and was very excited at first. But when I played the mp3's or the regular cd, I could hear slight distortion along with the song. You can't notice it immediately but once you use this unit then you'll be annoyed by that sound. I thought it played cd-rw discs too because almost all other units play cd-rw discs. But beware that this unit doesn't! It also only supports mp3 encoded files only unlike other where they support many different formats.
There is no browsing system except for t.digit, which allows you type in the track number you want to advance too. There are some serious problems with this unit because sometimes when I play track 23 and then play track 134 or something, they both are the same song! I don't know why this happens. This unit also doesn't feature id3 tag support so you have to remember track # if u want to listen to it again. Even though this unit has ESP it's only on for CD's, not mp3's. However, the mp3's do play fine and do not skip that much either. The unit does work better when it's in horizontal position but when it's vertical then it takes a while to get it working.
If you think you'll run this unit on batteries you better stock up because this player uses battery like crazy. The batteries that came with it lasted less than an hour for me. D-link says that they're supposed to last only an hour! That's 20 batteries for your (1 Mp3 CD) 10 hour music :) Also, I keep this unit in my car so I had to buy the car kit. I think they should have at least included that in this player. I don't mean to totally trash this item but compare to what other mp3 players offer, this thing has nothing. The only good thing I found in this mp3 cd player is that it's got hard case and it's cheap price.
I'm going to exchange this unit with RioVolt which has much more to offer.
