HORRIBLE AND DEFECTIVE CONTINUED
Pros
Nice screen size for price paid.
Cons
I'm beginning to think that it may be a fire hazard!!!!
Recommended it?
No
The Bottom Line:
I cannot recommend this set due to the problem I have had with the High Voltage Regulator. Fire hazard in my opinion.
I totally agree with Cherim224. We had our set for a little over 7 months when it started to crackle & throw sparks. The set would turn itself off and then on again, even when unplugged!! We purchased a PSP from the store we got the TV at and are still waiting to get the second part needed to repair the set, 7 weeks and counting.
We really enjoyed the TV while it was working. We like the screen size because both of us hate wearing our glasses to watch TV and the size of the screen was great for what we paid for the set.
We have our own Home Theater System, so the sound quality was never an issue for us.
I would just like to be able to watch it again without the fear that it might catch on fire the next time. I hate to think of what might have happened if we weren't at home when the High Voltage Regulator inside decided to start "leaking" as the service tech called it!!
I hope that if we can't get the problem corrected we don't have an issue with getting the set replaced.
If Cherim224 reads this please post again, if possible, to update me on the outcome of your situation. I'm really interested in how it turned out.
