If you're looking for an affordable all-in-one system, keep looking. The sound quality is good (as long as the subwoofer is mounted more toward ear level rather than on the floor) for it's price. Once the novelty of the sound quality wears away, the things you previously were able to ignore become quite sharp thorns in your side. It starts with realizing the remote buttons are very picky about the direction they're pressed. Then you realize how long the thing takes to react to a remote command. Then you realize how noisy the DVD player is. Then the random quiet, yet audible, pop and hiss from the speakers. Then unit is just too noisy and the annoyances are too frequent for me to recommend this. You'll be much happier spending more for a different all-in-one theater unit or a quality stereo with simulated surround sound. I'm really disappointed that I will be returning this unit because the sound (for the price) was really good.
