Good player with annoyances
Pros
Great quality playback and sound. Yes, I burn files to CD-R and play back.
Cons
The SOB doesn't remember where you are in a movie when you turn it off.
Recommended it?
No
Had the player about 1 year.
This is a good player, but has some REALLY annoying things. REALLY annoying that it doesn't remember where you are in a movie when you turn it off. Come on guys...really. And the remote SUCKS! You can't be more than 8 ft and have to be pointing straight, I mean straight, at the box (although bouncing off windows can work). It rarely reads my CD-RW discs, regardless of the format.
Otherwise, it's been a great player. Great quality playback and sound. Yes, I burn files to CD-R and play back without problem. Nice.
OK player, but wish I'd gotten something else. And no help from the mfg. for firmware upgrades that matter. They do respond to e-mails, which is better than most companies.
