Definitely, got to have it. This makes charcoal grilling so much easier and faster.
This makes charcoal grilling a piece of cake. People think charcoal grilling is so much more work than gas. With this tool, it's definitely no more work. No more stacking you charcoals, waiting forever, and ever. This thing is great. No more lighter fluid needed!
Charcoals are ready in about 15 minutes or less.
It holds around 60 or so coals. Our 22 inch Weber suggest using 40 coals. So this chimney is large enough to fire up enough coals for a very large grill.
Make sure you have your grilling gloves because you'll need them in order to unload the chimney into your grill. Coals do not unload from the bottom, you have to pour them out. It has 2 nice handles to make unloading a breeze.
It's incredibly easy to start. Just a few newspaper pages and a match is all you need. No lighter fluid! Can you imagine?
Item is very sturdy and seems to be made very well. We even use it to store our gloves and matches when we're all done. It fits nicely on the storage rack on the bottom of the grill. Be careful with it after you've poured out the coals. It will remain hot for quite a while. We've learned to put it under the grill asap, so that no one trips over it or gets burned.
I still can't believe how well it works. I wasn't interested in charcoal grilling until we picked up this chimney. Now I'm grilling several times a week. It's a great tool that every charcoal griller needs. Great price at less than $15 almost everywhere.
