Pros Low price, great picture, great sound quality
Cons No power switch on remote, pausing playback causes picture quality problems, unlit remote.
Recommended it? No

I've had our Daewoo DVG-3000N DVD player for over a year now so I think I'm in a position to review it. Like others, I got it for the price. I was out Christmas shopping and saw an under $75 price for a DVD player and said "what the heck" and plopped it in the cart.

Pros Inexpensive, great playback when works
Cons Music and Movies freeze, remote control not responsive

My husband bought this Daewoo on sale at Sam's, and it has turned out to be a waste of money. When it works, it works great. The sound and video quality is excellent. When it works....

Pros Plays anything and everything you throw at it. More stylish than similarly priced players.
Cons Lacks component video and optical audio outputs.
Recommended it? Yes

Pros the first 3 mos it worked fine
Cons After that its plain garbage
Recommended it? No

Just like the other two reviews after 3 months it didnt recognize discs then it just wouldn't open up the drawer.

... it performs flawlessly. Doesn't have the freezing and skipping of the low-line of Apex players. It also can be made to play any reigon's DVD's with a simple firmware update. I purchased this Daewoo DVD player for one simple reason, it was only $60 on sale at my local supermarket. I thought hey Daewoo is pretty decent and for $60 you can't beat it. Now don't get me wrong it has yet to really fail me but there are little pet peeves I have about the unit.

Pros Stylish, plays everything - including MP3s - Very Inexpensive
Cons Has difficulty reading some brands of CD-R discs.
Recommended it? Yes

I've had my player for almost a year and experienced very little trouble with it. I use it a lot, mostly for playing CDs, but I also transferred my entire MP3 collection to CD-Rs and use this player to play them as well. Pros Played hundreds of different commercial and DVD-R discs with no problems.
Cons No guarantee its successor (the 4000 model) is as good.
Recommended it? Yes

It's lasted three years, and only now has it begun having minor problems. I've recommended the model to a friend, and he loves it.
