A good computer for a college student
Pros

Cons
Software:useless warnings that can't be disabled.

Yes
The Bottom Line:
Good computer for the average college student.
I am currently in my first year of college, taking my second english class. I purchased a laptop to type papers for english, chemistry and other such classes. I chose to purchase a laptop because they are portable, so I am able to take it to school with me if I need to. I began my search at Dell.
I searched Dell for the different components and features they offered, within my price range(under 1000$). The Inspiron B130 seemed to be the best option for me.
I spent around 700$ for this computer. I upgraded the originally offered hard drive space to 60 GB and boosted the RAM to 512 MB. I bought the word feature separately because it was cheaper than from DELL.
I have been quite impressed with the speed and versatility of this laptop. I can play a music cd while surfing the net or typing a paper, without even noticing the computer running more slowly. I have also had come into my posession, a rather old printer, but new enough to have a firewire attachment. This computer is quite compatible with that.
The key board on this computer is wonderful. I enjoy typing on it because the keys are very sensitive so I don't have to press hard or be worried about missing a letter anywhere. In fact, I usually type more letters than I need to.
I bought the largest screen I could, I think it is a 17 inch, but maybe only a 15. Anyway, the large screen makes it easy to see and more enjoyable to watch videos. I usually only watch documentary stuff, but so far it the DVD drive has worked quite well.
I can't say that I have any complaints about this particular laptop, only the fact that there is a stupid warning that continues to pop up and tell me that the computer could not find the wireless network and stuff like that. All in all, this is a good buy.
