I bought this laptop about a year and a half ago and had nothing but problems with it. The DVD drive broke just after the 30 day warranty. It was like pulling teeth getting Dell to replace the defective DVD drive. Dell has sacrificed quality in the past few years. I used to recommend Dell to everyone. Now, I tell everyone to avoid them. Their customer service is awful. Customer service was outsourced to India. I can rarely understand them. This is the most important development: If you do not have a warranty, Dell will NOT help you. They used to have helpful customer service and backed their products when defective. This is no longer the case.
