I have had three 1600n printers since July 2005. The first printer broke down around March or April 2006. Dell sent a new one which never worked. The "new" printer broke the laser cartridges. Dell had to send a new replacement the same day I received the second printer. The third printer worked well for three to four months. Thereafter it started to jam continuosly specially when printing more than 20 pages. Despite of the jams, I used it for a while until it broke down today, January 24, 2007.
When Dell replaced the second printer, a customer care representative told me that I would have another year warranty on the third printer. Now they refuse to honour the warranty because it is not in "their" system that I had an additional one-year warranty.
