Makes drive time a pleasure

byccdavid Oct 6, 2004

Pros Easy to use, great program variety
Cons Short dropouts in tunnels - no big deal
Recommended it? Yes

The unit itself is easy to use and has made my long commutes much more entertaining. My hat's off to handy people who install their own; mine was installed at Circuit City where the pros did a neat job. It would be hard to separate the programs from the medium so I'll launch right in.

Pros Commercial free stations, good sound, mobile
Cons Environment can cause loss of signal
Recommended it? Yes

I got this after getting tired of listening to all of the commercials on fm radio. I've got exactly what I wanted out of it -- no commercials on music channels. The quality of the sound is good, the reception is good 99% of the time.

I do have three spots on the drive home where the trees... Read full review »

Pros Excellent sound, unlimited musical varieties, one of the only remaining places to find...
Cons Installation can be frustrating, reception can also be
Recommended it? Yes

The Roady2 is already last years model with the Roady XM replacing it... But as in all previous model replacements the changes are more cosmetic than functional. (for most of us!)
The Roady series radios are small and easy to use if you are the passenger... the small and numerous buttons are... Read full review »

Cons FM modulation
Recommended it? Yes

My first experience with XM radio was on a vehicle I recently purchased. It came with it and I thought I would check it out.
Well I love it so much, I would wind up sitting in my driveway or parking lot at work just listening, I decided that since I couldn't drive in to my living room I needed... Read full review »

Pros Comes with everything you need to get started.
Cons The built-in XM modulator sounds like AM radio.
Recommended it? Yes

This is a great, all-in-one package for those new to XM and those already familiar with it. The unit is priced right and includes everything you need to hear XM within minutes of opening the box. I paid $94 for mine at Walmart and literally hooked it up in the parking lot. The Roady2 is easy to... Read full review »

This unit is chock full of features. Without going into a lot of detail (the other reviewer has pretty much given all the neccesary info on this), the Roady 2 allows one to have preset stations, change the color of the display as well as the faceplate color, scroll through stations (each station,...
