While not honestly CD quality unless your CD player is $100 (mine is $3500 just the player). Nevertheless the quality of sound is very dynamic and clear. And the entertainment is due to good DJs cooking up interesting mixes that make sense, non-stop, 24-hours a day.

And the entertainment value means all this year I would rather listen for hours and hours as various talented people (Flash, Terry and the crew) put on 'shows' that I really really like to hear. And my $3500 CD player with custom DACs and my $2500 record player with Sumiko cartridge are just sitting there, unused. For almost a year.

So I am a believer and how. I must disclose I immediately went out and bought $10000 in XM stock. And two more XM radios. One for my folks and one for the car. Finally the future has arrived with something I really enjoy. Yay progress.

So far the stock hasn't made me rich but I would bet that XM is a winner obviously. Their only competition is newcomer Sirius radio. I will buy one of those radios this year too to see what they are up to.

My folks are so happy to hear their exact kind of music all day long uninterrupted. This is the biggest thing I have done for them in years. For a couple of hundred bucks I gave them back real radio. Boy do they love that thing.

And I am a total snob audio nut and I love my little XM radio too.
