Cons
Spend more time re-booting than listening

The Bottom Line:
Stay away. I've read many reviews on the internet and many have the same problems and are completely disgusted with this product.
I'm 50+ and have never in my life time, bought such a worthless piece of unreliable, poorly designed or manufactured junk. I like and use XM radio and own two other recievers in my house and another car. I bought this with the inticement of a 3 year contract at a reduced rate. The Skyfi with car kit was only $20 plus the price of the 3yr contract.
The Skyfi has never worked right from day one. I have to re-boot it several times to get it to complete the boot process and connect to sat. Then while listening, it reboots randomly and consitently locks up. After several DAYS of re-booting and locking up, it will connect. Once I get it to connect, I never turn it off because the boot process is so ugly. But, it may play for a few days and then randomly re-boot and lock up at the CHECKING MEDIA step. Then more hours/days of me re-booting to get it to connect again. This process never ends and I spend more time re-booting than listening.
I thought maybe the battery was not charged enough so I had it sit and charge for more than a day. Then when I get it to connect, I could not get it to power down. What good it a power off button that does not work. This model has multiple problems.
For some reason it always hangs at the CHECKING MEDIA step. I thought maybe it needed to see an external memory card so I went and bought a 2gb microSD card and inserted it in the microSD slot. Worked great and booted up for several days. I was encouraged and thought I had found the solution. But alas, several days later it started locking up and the same problems came back. I thought maybe the SD card was not making connection and removed and re-inserted several times to no avail. I'ts as if it has a "learn" algorithm in the software to learn it's way to lockup mode.
