very good buy if you have small speakers
Pros
clear sound, good price, good quality, solves all the hometheater needs
Cons
complicated / poor quality remote, denon 1602 is made in korea
Recommended it?
Yes
The Bottom Line:
Go ahead and buy it. No problem . ease of use , good quality, u will like it.
It gives you a very crisp and clear sound. I use it with a powerd subwoofer and 5 small JBL speakers SCS135 and the sound is amazing while wathing a movie. The Auto button is amazing and it detects the source and the mode DD or DTS, its simply amazing. another optical input would have helped but if you only have a DVD then its ok. Tuner is also good. The build quality is very good (looks like) but My 1602 is made in korea which is a little diappointing. I thought it was Made in Japan. But as of now there is no difference in the quallity. It is good indeed.
The only one thing i miss in this is the mids. You cannot control the mids in this when u are listning to a 2 channel input / output. I like mids to be 50% lower then normal so that i can enjoy all the music instruments. However I am still satisfied with the performance because the sound is very clear and there is no distortion even if i play it on the maximum volume.
One should go ahead and buy withouth thinking twice if money is a concern. Else if u have money go for higer models.
