I like my Denon
Pros
- quality sound
Cons
- i don't like the way the remote looks. a bit too european for me.
Recommended it?
Yes
Why I bought it?
I decided to buy a Home Entertainment System (HES). I didnt know much about HES' so I went online and read several reviews of different systems.
Initially I was thinking of investing in a BOSE, then I saw a lot of negative reviews of BOSE. I then saw a review of a combination system:
- Denon AVR 1804
- DENON DVD (I can't remember the model but it was approx $400)
And this system did very well in the review. IT was by a reputable magazine.
What do I love about the product?
- Quality sound
- able to handle 5.1 or 6.1 o/p. Also note for the 6th channel you can actually connect 2 speakers which is what I'm upgrading to soon, so you end up with 7 satellite speakers.
What do I hate?
I'm not sure about how LOUD the unit actually is. It's loud enough for me, but it's something you might want to test to verify how loud the o/p is. I can't really test it because I live in an apartment block.
