Do yourself a favor. Take your favorite CD and your favorite headphones with you to a Denon dealer and listen to a few different brands of CD players. Chances are you will keep coming back to the Denon for a second listen. The Denon with Alpha-processing just seems to blow away everything in its class.
When I heard the DCM-370 for myself, I couldn't believe I could get this excellent sound for $299. I tried some $500-$600 players and kept coming back to the Denon DCM-370. Denon cuts out all the frivolous bells & whistles and just gives great sound. You can spend a little more for a few more buttons on their higher models, but you can't beat the DCM-370 for crisp, clean sound.
