Best Quality HD Up-Conversion DVD player for price
Pros
Great Picture Quality, Unbelievable Sound reproduction, Farudja interlacer
Cons
price, not as bulky as other Denon models
Recommended it?
Yes
The Bottom Line:
Great DVD player for the price. If you want HD-up conversion and want awesome sound, forget the $250 price tag and buy this player.
The Denon 1910 is the best DVD HD-Up conversion player for the price. It provides quality playback, no freezing, skipping, or distortion like some HD-Conversion models (cough Toshiba).
Denon players are known for their sound quality, and this model pumps out the audio.
The sound reproduction is incredible via digital optical out. It provides great highs and treble with awesome bass.
The picture quality with the Farudja interlacer is outstanding. The HD-Up-conversion is also great. Although DVD's are not true High Definition (Not until HD-DVD's come), the picture quality is still noticeably better than progressive scan.
The menu options are pretty basic and easy to use. The remote is also easy to use and light. The only bad thing about the remote is that it is long.
The DVD player will play about everything you throw at it. The only thing mine didn't play was a Burned Double-Layer DVD.
The player features a DVI-output, Digital Audio Out, and all the other basic connections.
The HD-Up conversion lets up up convert your entire DVD's to 1080i quality. I don't know if it's true 1080i or not, but the picture quality rocks.
