Love this unit!
Pros
Sound is clean, 1 year warranty, $100.00!
Cons
No multiband eq., do I really need it??
Recommended it?
Yes
I wanted a 2 channel stereo receiver for my bedroom. After looking around and reading reviews I decided on the Denon DRA-295. My exclusive use of this is to listen to FM and CD's (On my Denon CD Changer). I have them connected to Bose 301 Series V's.
With the tone settings turned off, the sound is somewhat muddy, however enable the tone control's and the change is as night and day. I am not looking to rock the walls or break windows (although I suspect I could), I just wanted clean sound and this combo delivers. At low volumes, even the tuner is silent, no hiss.
50 Watts RMS per channel is plenty for my purposes.
I bought the unit as a Denon Reman. from Dakmart/Ebay for $100.00. Can't go wrong.
