Excellent video quality, suspicious build quality
I bought this DVD player at Tweeter after upgrading my TV to a 42" Sony LCD TV - my previous (Sony) DVD player did not have progressive scan and I wanted excellent video quality for watching DVDs. Mediocre. Newer models blow this DVD away
I owned this machine for 3 years. The disc drive mechanically failed after 300 movies.
The picture was adequate when I had a 720P resolution monitor. Did not cut it visually when I moved up to a 1080i monitor.
Audio sounded "cardboard-y" to me.
