So disappointing

Piece-O-Junk
Well I am reluctant to say that I too have had nothing but trouble with this darn thing. Good when it worked
I purchased this DVD player and had a few months of wonderful use. Great picture, nice sound, but never did figure out how to send it into "random" disc play. Unfortunately, this thing is a lemon and will die quick.

I purchased this machine because of the Denon name and the fact that it's a 5 disk changer, has the Faoudja chip, uses the fiber optic Toslink audio connection and could read DVD's, DVD-R, MP3's, CD-R & CD-RW's. TWO MONTHS OLD AND BROKEN!
Bought this unit new in Oct of 2005 . It gave up the ghost on 1/05/2006. Actually started sooner but I didn't know it! Stopped reading dvd's giving me a disk error message intermittently then finally just quit -wouldn't play anything dvd's OR cd's. Returned it to Tweeter with a copy of the two... Read full review »
Great picture, poor reliability.
I have been very pleased with the video quality of this model. There are minor issues: a bit noisy in transition, numbers difficult to see, slow loading.
But.. It has broken twice in the first 5 months. The first problem occurred within a week when the disk tray would not open/close...
