Pros Game alerts, 30 preset stations, plug and play
Cons Display hard to read in the light, gets hot, can't save the recorded audio.
Recommended it? Yes

I always said that I would REFUSE to have to actually PAY to listen to the radio! Of course back in 1977 I said I would never pay to watch television, either. When we decided to move back to Richmond Virginia, I thought there was no WAY I was going to listen to the limited choices and cruddy radio... Read full review »

Pros Music on your terms, pausing radio is more useful than you might think!
Cons No sound controls, needs better contrast, unit gets very hot.
Recommended it? Yes

So you're thinking about paying for radio? Are you Sirius? Or are you XM? The first thing you need to do when making the decision to take on yet another monthly payment is to figure out which service to order, Sirius or XM. The 2 advantages to XM are that they have a better selection of portable... Read full review »

Its tough to write a review of just the player without mentioning the Sirius service, this is a brief review of both really.
I decided to purchase a satellite radio because I hate commercials and I need some music in the car and in the office. I decided on Sirius because of the additional... Read full review »

Great Unit, Great Music

byktharg May 26, 2006

Pros Good looks, simple to use, good display
Cons Contrast level hard to read during day, can be hard to mount
Recommended it? Yes

I bought this unit about 4 months ago and have had no issues since. Reading other reviews around the internet, I am not sure why some give negative responses to this unit and others. I think improper setup and being too quick to slam the two services plays a big part in their reviews.

About three years ago, I was researching a series of stocks, looking for something new to invest my money in. I came about a small company called Sirius (stock symboy: SIRI) and I was immediately intrigued with the idea of satellite radio. Until that point, I was unfamiliar with satellite radio and... Cons artist alert, hard to read sometimes at night in car

I've had the Sportster Replay for almost a year now and I don't think I could ever go back to regular (terrestrial) radio. I highly recommend both the service and this receiver and I've even convinced my very stubborn wife to pick one up. ;)

What I think about Sirius - Like cable back in... Read full review »

Pros Comedy channels, Howard, and music selections are worth the monthly fee.
Cons harware problems
Recommended it? Yes

10/1/07 Good news, the radio is working again. Sirius agreed to give me another radio, and a free installation. But the new installer said that the "FM Modulator" that was installed by the last person was not the one recommended by Sirius. He replace that with the Sirius modulator, and everything... I previously owned the Sportster but I decided to upgrade to the Sportster Replay for a few reasons. Although the original Sportster and the Replay are almost identical I do like the redesigned antenna and the Blue LCD screen.

This is my 2nd full year with Sirius and my second Receiver. First Sirius is worth every $ they get. Second this is a great receiver. The first receiver I bought was just the standard run of the mill type. It worked fine and everything but quit working after about 15 months,so I upgraded to the... Read full review »

Home use requires outdoor antenna

bydrkitty Dec 9, 2005
4 Helpfuls 5 Helpfuls Was this review helpful? Comment
Pros Clean lines.
Cons Does NOT perform as advertised.
Recommended it? No

This seems like a great radio, but there is a significant flaw in that the user manual claims you can keep the antenna inside near a window for home use but tech support says you "must" keep the antenna outside. That won't work in climates where doors and windows need to be closed, and I certainly... Read full review »
