Great! (so far)
Pros
Good tuner, great sound, aux input, cheap
Cons
Long term durability?
Recommended it?
Yes
I had a nice Pioneer with a fixed face plate stolen from my Miata convertible. I decided to replace it with something cheap that had a detachable faceplate and the Dual was the cheapest I found.
I've been pleasantly surprised by the Dual. If anything it sounds better than the Pioneer. The Dual has a better tuner, more power and the CD player hasn't skipped yet. It has an auxiliary input, so I can easily hook up my mini-disc player. I wish the input was on the front like the Aiwa models, but the Pioneer didn't have any input. The detachable face is a little sticky to detach, but that should work more smoothly with time. Operation is straight forward (on my Pioneer I could never remember how to set the clock without the manual) and installation went smoothly. The only question mark is long term durability. Other Dual models have had failing LCD displays, so we'll see how this one holds up. So far though, I couldn't be happier.
