Dual XDM6800 in dash cd player.
I bought this unit on sale at Best Buy for $111.00 including installation. A bargain. I was pessimistic about the price and the brand, but I wanted a CD player with MP3 capability and I decided to give it a try.

Dual XDM6800
I also purchased this unit in November. I was warned by a car audio store to steer clear of DUAL Audio but sometimes they try to steer you to a higher end product. I was looking for MP3 playback at a low price. The looks of the unit are nice and lots of presets.

i bought the dual xdm6800 from fry's for $99.99 to replace an oem stereo in my 1998 jetta. i chose this stereo because it was cheap, and i liked that it had auxiliary rca input so i could use my ipod's through the headphone jack. once i had it installed i realized it wasn't good for much else.

Dual XDM6800
I bought this unit yesterday. It has many features that i really need,specially the rear aux inputs. As soon as I installed it the face plate went blank. Poor tech support
I tried to buy a new face plate (mine went dark). I emailed their customer support, cs@dualav.com, and never got an answer. Three (business) days later I telephoned them - the guy on the phone told me I had to send email to customer support to get a new face plate. I emailed them again - and again... Read full review »
Dual XDM-6800 - Do not buy this!
Terrible. One star is too generous for this stereo. The display on my unit faded out and is very faint after four months. It constantly needs to be reset to recognize CDs, losing all presets. Very disappointing face plate
Within weeks of purchase, the faceplate burnt out.
Best Buy would not replace the faceplate, though I finally was able to replace the faceplate. But now -- just three months later -- the faceplate has burnt out again.
I cannot see the time, track, station, etc. It is a pain!...
